MECHANICS OF STRUCTURE
Theory of structures helps in determination of forces at any point or member of the given structure. The result of this can then be utilised to redesign the structure taking into consideration a more precise calculation of the self weight and size of members.

Learnings:
- the load transfer works from one structural element to other depending on the materiality of the structure and the forces applied
-two types of structures load bearing and frame structures
-the soil bearing capacity determines the depth and the type of the foundation
